VP, Comcast Media 360 Sales
Andrew Ward serves as Vice President, Comcast Media 360 (CM360) Sales, a division of Comcast Spotlight, the Advertising Sales Division of Comcast Cable. In this role, Andrew leads the CM360 sales team which helps national brands forge deeper connections with their ideal audiences.
Andrew has pioneered the organization’s addressable advertising platform, spearheaded new data and analytic capabilities and most recently designed and deployed Spotlight’s Audience Intelligence platform across 25 Spotlight markets. In addition, Andrew has extensive experience working with Fortune 100 brands, leading agency holding companies and industry data / analytic partners to bring new advertising solutions to the market.
Due to his drive and success at CM360, this June, Andrew will become the General Manager of a newly formed division (under NCC Media) with Charter, Comcast and Cox Communications that will design, deploy and sell unified advertising solutions across NCC's participants' national footprint. This group will use non-personally identifiable data and targeting capabilities to create advanced video advertising products that deliver greater scale, audiences and measurement to meet current and future demands of advertisers.
This new division will also build products that deliver targeted audiences across linear and video on demand (VOD) platforms. It will drive research, data and analytic capabilities to provide consistency in how the advertising industry measures the effectiveness of an advertisement and simplify how agencies manage campaigns.
Prior to Comcast Spotlight, Andrew served as Executive Vice President, Director of Sales for National Cable Communications (now NCC Media), the spot cable sales rep organization, which is 60 percent owned by Comcast. Based in NCC’s New York headquarters, he was responsible for directing the company’s sales personnel and developing spot cable sales strategies.
Andrew spent 15 years at NCC, starting as an Account Executive in the Boston office, and rising to Sales Manager and Vice President of NCC’s Midwest region; Vice President, General Sales Manager in New York; and Senior Vice President in New York. Andrew also served as a Senior Media Planner at Young and Rubicam in New York, working with companies such as Kraft/General Foods, Adidas and Gulf.
Andrew holds a BA in American Politics from Wesleyan University. He lives in Connecticut, with his wife and three sons.
