Joy has 25 years of enterprise software experience, and many years of software and management consulting expertise with Fortune 500 and large media companies nationwide.
As President of FreeWheel Advertisers, formerly Strata, Joy oversees operations for all FreeWheel Advertisers’ business lines and has guided the development of media buying/selling platforms that incorporate the most advanced technologies in the industry. Under her leadership, the company has experienced over 10% annual revenue growth and has grown to 300 employees worldwide.

Prior to joining FreeWheel Advertisers, Joy was CEO of SpotBuySpot (SBS), which was purchased by Strata in 2007. During her tenure, SBS’s revenues increased 224% in four years as she directed new business and enterprise-scale software development initiatives. Now the Custom Division at FreeWheel Advertisers, SBS continues to be the industry leader in e-Business, research, business and financial solutions for media companies.

Joy earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Drake University. She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) and the Economic Club of Chicago. Outside of the office, Joy founded the Northside Basketball league (NBL) for Chicago boys and girls ranging from the 4th to the 8th grade. With over 115 teams and 1,500 kids enrolled, the League focuses on fair, fun, and competitive play with an emphasis on community service participation.
